Subject:   MHSAA: Officials Training Opportunity

The MHSAA would like your help in spreading the word regarding the 2008 Women's Officials Training Clinic. The clinic will be held on February 9, 2008 at DeWitt High School from 8:00 am-4:30 pm.

This training opportunity is geared toward recruiting and training new officials in Basketball, Competitive Cheer, Gymnastics, Girls Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Track & Field and Volleyball. The clinic is held in conjunction with the Women in Sports Leadership conference, and the goal is to recruit new female officials. However, men are welcome to participate, as well.

We are asking your assistance in identifying individuals, such as friends, co-workers, students and neighbors, to get involved with high school athletics as a registered game official. Please assist us in spreading the word to any potential persons interested in getting started with officiating at this year's Women's Officials Training.

The $30 registration fee will cover the cost of all clinic materials, lunch and a mail in voucher (a $35 value) for MHSAA registration fees. To register, complete the panel at the following link and send it to the MHSAA.

2008 GCCOA Football Meetings( all meetings are at the GISD on Maple near Torrey )

Meetings for NEW officials are from 4:00 - 5:45PM

General Meetings are from 6:00 - 8PM

Mid-Michigan High School Football Officials Clinic (2008)

This years clinic will be on Saturday July 26th( 8:30 AM until 2:00 PM).  It will be held at the GISD (Genesee Intermediate School District) on Maple Road in Flint, Michigan.  Cost will  be $10.00.  Tom Mintor, from the MHSAA, will be giving a State rules meeting at the clinic.Those wishing to attend may contact me to reserve your spot.  Any questions, please call me at 810-655-5179 or e-mail me at phillong@excite.com       Thanks, Phil
